Sanctioned by the Brazilian government, the new legal framework for the Internet of Things (IoT) guarantees tax exemptions and facilitations to make Brazil a hub in this sector and a pioneer in its development.

Studies by the Ministry of Communications estimate that the IoT could generate 10 million jobs in Brazil in the coming years. In addition to tax facilitations, licensing rules for products with embedded IoT technology were also relaxed.

The IoT is ubiquitous – from refrigerators and connected televisions, to agricultural machines capable of controlling irrigation, transmitting information on soil moisture, acidity and nutrients.
