Wind power generation breaks first record of the year

Wind power generation broke its first record of the year with 14,167MW of instantaneous generation, enough to supply the 57 million people of the Northeast region for 1 minute and still export 23.2% of the surplus.

Between July and September, the so-called “wind harvest” season blows in the Northeast. The region is favored by the action of winds with a speed much higher than that necessary for energy generation, being unidirectional and stable, allowing for continuous generation.

Solar generation was responsible for generating 2,963MW, an amount equivalent to 27.5% of 1 minute of the Northeast’s energy demands.
