Brazilian government accounts have a historic surplus in June

Brazilian government’s accounts showed a primary surplus of R$ 14.43 billion in June, as reported by National Treasury – the highest result in the historical series for the month since 2011. In 12 months, the primary surplus has reached R$ 75.1 billion, or 0.93% of Brazil’s GDP.

Federal government’s net revenues rose 53.9% in June, up to R$ 190.567 billion, while total expenditures fell by 14.5%, i. e. R$ 176.134 billion. Total revenues (including concessions, dividends and oil royalties) registered a real increase of 16.3% for the year.
