Brazil reinforces humanitarian assistance to Venezuelans

Operation Acolhida was created to guarantee humanitarian assistance to Venezuelans in the state Roraima, Venezuela’s main gateway to Brazil. The Operation also grants the voluntary “interiorization” of refugees into cities that offer better chances for socioeconomic integration.

The Operation consists of a large humanitarian task force supported by the Brazilian government and states, UN agencies, and international, private and civil entities, totaling over 100 partners. To date, more than 78k Venezuelan migrants have been successfully “interiorized”.
